Early Life
Nadal grew up in Manacor, was coached by his uncle Toni Nadal, and turned professional as a teenager.
Career
He won his first French Open in 2005, at age 19, and went on to claim 14 titles at Roland Garros. His 22 majors also include four U.S. Opens, two Wimbledons and two Australian Opens, and he won Olympic singles gold in 2008 and doubles gold in 2016.
Legacy
Nadal retired in November 2024 after Spain's Davis Cup tie in Málaga. He founded the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca and the Rafa Nadal Foundation.
