Early Life
Johnson played college football at the University of Miami and briefly for the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL before joining WWE, following his father and grandfather into professional wrestling.
Career
He became a multiple-time WWE champion and one of the sport's biggest stars, then moved into acting with The Scorpion King (2002). He starred in Fast & Furious films, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and San Andreas, and voiced Maui in Disney's Moana (2016).
Legacy
Johnson has frequently topped lists of the world's highest-paid actors and has invested in businesses including the tequila brand Teremana and, with partners, the XFL football league, purchased in 2020.
